Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

Account information (name, email address)
Baby profile information (name, birth date, profile photo)
Activity tracking data (sleep, feeding, diaper, and medicine records)
Vaccine records (vaccine name, date administered, notes)
Milestone records (achieved milestones, dates, custom entries)
Growth chart data (weight, height and head circumference measurements with dates)
Baby photos uploaded to the gallery
Custom reminder settings and notification preferences
Device information for app functionality

All data is encrypted and stored securely in Firebase.

Provide and maintain the BabyBuddy service

Send you activity and custom push notifications
Plot your baby's growth against WHO standard percentile charts
Suggest age-appropriate milestones based on your baby's birth date
Generate PDF reports for export and sharing

We NEVER sell your personal data to third parties.

Data Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL)
All data is encrypted at rest in Firebase
Access is protected by Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In authentication
Photos are stored in a private, authenticated Firebase Storage bucket
Regular security audits and updates

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your personal data at any time within the app
Correct inaccurate data (name, birth date, activity records)
Delete your account and all associated data immediately
Export your data in a portable PDF format
Opt-out of individual notification types at any time

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active.

When you delete your account:

All data — including activity logs, vaccine records, milestones, and photos — is deleted immediately and permanently
This action cannot be undone
We recommend exporting your data before deletion

You can delete your account anytime in Settings.

Children's Privacy

BabyBuddy is designed for parents and caregivers. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 13 to create an account.

We do not ask for or verify age at sign-up. If you are a parent or guardian and believe someone under 13 has created an account, please email us at privacy@kongatechlabs.com — we will delete the account and all associated data immediately upon request.

The baby profiles, photos, health records, and milestones stored in the app belong to the parent or caregiver who created the account — not the baby.

Health Data

BabyBuddy stores health-related information including vaccine records, medicine doses, and developmental milestones. This data is:

Used only to provide tracking and reporting features within the app
Never shared with advertisers, data brokers, or third-party analytics services
Exportable by you at any time in PDF format
Deleted immediately and permanently when you delete your account

Note: The vaccination schedule and growth percentile charts are based on WHO standards and are for reference only. It does not constitute medical advice.

Photos

Photos you upload are stored in a private Firebase Storage bucket. They are:

Only accessible to users authenticated with your account credentials
Never used for machine learning, training, or facial recognition
Included in PDF exports only when you explicitly choose to include them
Deleted immediately when you delete your account or remove them from the gallery

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you by posting the new policy in the app and updating the date above.

Your continued use after changes indicates acceptance.
